Loft Candy Corporation was shortly spun off, acquired by Philadelphia retail magnate Albert M. Loft, Inc., merged with PepsiCo following an agreement of merger filed in Wilmington, Delaware in June 1941. Happiness Candy Stores, Inc., was controlled by Loft, Inc.
